SHOEI® presents a revolutionary new helmet that raises the bar in terms of active and passive safety.
Intensive
development work on the computer, in the laboratory and in the SHOEI
wind tunnel, combined with rigorous road testing by our test riders
round the world, has produced a completely new helmet concept.
The XR-1100 surpasses all previous helmets in every respect:
- The
completely redeveloped visor mechanism ensures that the visor sits
perfectly and closes without any draughts - the mechanism positively
"sucks" the visor against the seals when you close it.
In
addition, the visor system offers a much larger field of view -
naturally, equipped with a carefully redesigned and much larger Pinlock
visor.
- The ventilation system has been completely reworked to ensure a perfect climate at all times.
The
"negative pressure system" features special extraction technology that
ensures warm air is effectively and continuously removed - even at very
low speeds.
Controllable inlets in the chin (with defroster),
forehead (2 inlets) and rear (4 outlets) mean that perfect climate
regulation could not be simpler.
The air flow is extremely quiet thanks to special routing of the ventilation ducts.
- The
aerodynamics have been developed entirely from scratch and honed to
perfection through countless tests in the laboratory and in the field.
The spoilers integrated into the helmet shell deliver sophisticated
aerodynamic performance - the helmet remains exceptionally stable in the
wind, even at high speeds.
The low-drag design reduces the
forces acting at the back of the rider's head, while the compact form
significantly reduces wind noise.
- The
interior of the XR-1100 has been fully re-engineered to make this
helmet the ultimate "feel-good" experience. SHOEI has optimised the
ergonomic design by developing a perfectly fitting 3D centre pad which
snugly encompasses your head.
It goes without saying, of course, that the centre pad, cheek pads and chin strap are removable and washable.
